Dear Members;

Our conferences are one of our key activities and so it is imperative we get a good turn-out. I would urge all members to continue to encourage colleagues and students to attend. The scientific program with our plenary speakers and our keynote speakers is excellent, and I am convinced that our congress will be very good. Abstract submission is still open as is registration for early (lower) rates.

The registration fee covers 6 nights hotel accomodation in a vey nicely situated Hotel close to the centre of Prague and walking distance to Prague castle. In addition, the fee covers 6 breakfasts,4 lunches, 8 congress coffe breaks, and the social events (the reception and the closing banquet).

On the web page (http://www.congressprague.cz/en/kongresy/isdci2009.html) there is also information on how abstracts should be written and submitted as well as how the presentations should be prepared.

I do hope that most members are planning to be in Prague this summer and I look forward to welcoming you to ISDCI XI.

Student/Postdoc Travel Bursary Application Submission: April 1, 2009
Pleases note that the bursary submission deadline will NOT be extended and late submissions cannot be considered. Please send your travel bursary applications as soon as possible to Courtney Smith (csmith@gwu.edu). The application is available at the Congress website, at isdci.org and as a link from the webpage for Courtney Smith (http://www.gwu.edu/~biology/faculty/smith.cfm).
