FACULTY POSITION IN IMMUNOLOGY, EAST ANGLIA, UK
An exciting opportunity exists to join a major new initiative on immunology of the gastrointestinal tract in the FACULTY OF HEALTH, SCHOOL OF MEDICINE, HEALTH POLICY AND PRACTICE, University of East Anglia, (UEA) UK.
LECTURER IN IMMUNOLOGY REF: ATR800
Candidates are sought with an outstanding research and publication record in molecular or cellular immunology and interest in the regulation of immune responses in the gastrointestinal tract. Outstanding applicants with an interest in developing a career and research programme in aspects of mucosal immunology are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will be expected to build a new programme that builds on existing strengths and model systems in host GI tract defence and immunology within the Gastrointestinal Tract Strategic Programme at the IFR and UEA.
You will be expected to establish an internationally high profile independent research programme, and be responsible for developing and seeking funding for collaborative projects. These will involve members of the immunology community and microbiologists at IFR and UEA as well as the other institutes on the Norwich Research Park. There will be excellent opportunities for a scientist with interests in experimental model systems, bioimaging, systems biology and high throughput 'omics technologies'.
You will become a member of the School of Medicine, Health Policy and Practice and of the Institute of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences within the Faculty of Health at UEA, with lab space situated within the Institute of Food Research within the Norwich Research Park.
£37,651 to £43,622 per annum
