Message from Norm Miller, ISDCI Secretary-Treasurer
Re: ISDCI membership renewal invoices:
Elsevier has had problems implementing their new online subscription to DCI for ISDCI members. As a result, this has delayed all renewals, including hardcopy mailing of the renewal invoices to ISDCI members. Untill this problem is resolved, Elsevier will continue to send the print version of DCI to all 2006 members. Please have patience.
Best wishes,
Norm

FISH IMMUNOLOGY WORKSHOP
Source: Wageningen University
15-19 April 2007, Wageningen, The Netherlands
The annual FISH IMMUNOLOGY workshop comprises presentations (30 minutes to one-hour) by experienced lecturers, taking time to thoroughly introduce each subject, and two practical afternoons.
The OBJECTIVE of the present workshop is to provide participants with advanced knowledge, both theoretical and practical, on the fish immune system. Emphasis will be placed on innate and acquired immunity, on immune modulation and on immunity to infection. During the workshop the latest insights in the evolution of the immune system but also related issues such as (experimental) animal welfare and the influence of stress on the immune response will be discussed. The official language of the workshop is English.
The LEVEL of the workshop is targeting academic and company researchers as well as management staff in the aquaculture industry. We more than welcome PhD students and therefore have lowered (!) the registration fee for PhD students.
The number of participants is limited to 30 persons, admitted on a first-come basis. Registration fee is 250 (Ph.D.), 450 (academic staff) or 550 (company staff). For ALL-IN registration (including accommodation and all meals) add 450 for the whole workshop period.
You can find more information on registration and accommodation on our website (click PhD education): http://www.cbi.wur.nl/uk
