The 8th meeting of the Società Italiana di Immunobiologia Comparata e dello Sviluppo (SIICS) (Italian Association of Development and Comparative Immunology) will be held in Naples, 1-2 March, 2007.

Organizer: Oreste U. (Institute of Protein Biochemistry, National Council of Research, Naples, Italy) (e-mail: u.oreste@ibp.cnr.it). The scientific program includes lectures by: Stet R. (University of Aberdeen, UK) on innate immune receptors belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily; Malagoli D. (University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy) on invertebrate helical cytokines; Oreste U. (Naples, Italy) on teleost immunoglobulins; Parrinello N. (University of Palermo, Italy) on invertebrate lectins and Pinto MR. (Laboratory of Cell Biology, Stazione Zoologica "Anton Dohrn", Naples, Italy) on invertebrate complement system molecules. The reports of the meeting will be published in the international on-line Journal Inv. Surv. J. (http://www.isj.unimore.it).
