In Memory of Dr. L. William Clem:

Memorial Fund
An ISDCI memorial fund in honor of Dr. L. William Clem has been established. This fund will be used to make travel awards to deserving students to attend future ISDCI Congresses. To make it easier for non-Americans to donate, credit card contributions can be made; making sure to include the amount to be contributed, type of credit card, credit card number, and expiration date. Contributions to this fund can made payable to ISDCI and sent to:

Request for Tributes
Bill has not only had a tremendous positive effect in the field of Comparative Immunology, but also in the lives and careers of many people. Because of this, tributes in honor of Bill are now in the process of being collected, and these tributes will be published in Developmental and Comparative Immunology. If you wish to write a short tribute in memory of Dr. Clem, please send it by either regular mail or e-mail to Dr. Norman W. Miller (nmiller@microbio.umsmed.edu) by 1 January 2007. These tributes can be just few sentences up to a few hundred words. As many of you know, Bill really enjoyed his association with the members of ISDCI, and loved attending the ISDCI Congresses because they were always like a family reunion to him. I think many of us feel the same way. Let us keep Bill’s memory alive by either making a small donation or writing a short tribute, or both.
