MESSAGE FROM THE SOCIETY PRESIDENT
Now that the venue and dates for our next conference are set (please see our web site or E-board 24) we are turning our attention to the scientific programme. As the conference reflects the activities of our membership, we would welcome an input as to what topics should be covered at ISDCI X. Please feel free to email Greg Warr (warrgw@musc.edu>warrgwwarrgw@musc.edu>@musc.educ.edu) or myself (c.secombes@abdn.ac.uk) over the coming few weeks with suggestions. I will be visiting Charleston in March next year, when the sessions will begin to be firmed up and potential plenary speakers contacted.
Membership continues to be an issue for the Society. I would ask that every member raises awareness of ISDCI and helps with recruitment whenever possible. If there is anything more you feel the Society should be doing, then please let me know.
Our new web site has real potential to be far more interactive than ever before. Please do feed info on meetings, jobs and news items to me, Val Smith (to post on the E-Board) or the Vice-Presidents, and we will do our best to keep it up-to-date.
Chris Secombes
(c.secombes@abdn.ac.uk)
