We are pleased to inform you that we have extended the deadline for
the early registration and abstract submission of the ISDCI 2012 at
Fukuoka to May 14, 2012 (in Japanese standard time = GMT+9), to allow
participants additional time to complete their submissions.
We look forward to welcoming more participants and having more
presentations.
In addition, our official travel agency and congress manager, JTB-BSK
and JTB-GMT, are preparing more rooms in Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk and
some other hotels for your accommodation.

Dear All,
I am currently seeking suitable candidates to either do a masters or a PhD at the Biology Department, University of New Mexico, under my supervision. The position is open right now and will start this fall. Our graduate program offers 2 years of support for masters students and 5 years for PhD students. In this case the selected candidate will conduct her/his research in my lab with a teaching assistantship load of 20 h per week during the first two years. The research project in my lab will deal with evolution of mucosal immunity in fish. A degree in Biology or Biochemistry is required. Previous lab experience is preferred especially in cell biology, immunology, molecular biology, proteomics or bioinformatics.
Requirements: a letter of intent, three letters of recommendation, original transcripts from undergraduate degree, good level of English. Usually, for non-native speakers TOEFL scores are required. GRE scores are also a requirement but they can be submitted between now and the time of start. For more details on the requirements please visit the website
